What we do?
Welcome to Alturaifi Research Group at KFUPM! Our research focuses on exploring the frontiers of science and technology in energy systems and atmospheric science using lasers! We custom build laser-based sensor technologies to push the boundaries of thermofluid science. Our research is broadly categories into three focus areas: (1) scientific studies related to combustion processes and reducing harmful emissions, (2) applied research to solve practical problems in sensing, control, and optimization of industrial processes, and (3) building custom laser sensor technologies for dynamic detection of targeted molecules.

We are currently looking to recruit PhD students, MS students, undergraduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and laboratory engineers for a variety of projects related to laser-based sensors, combustion diagnostics, and environment.
